Who could benefit

Whether the death of a loved one is sudden or prolonged, shocking or expected, no one should walk through the path of grief and bereavement alone.

We all will experience loss at some point in our lives. Whether we are young, old, or somewhere in between, grief counseling can be a helpful space to enter to assist us in processing the events, memories, and complicated feelings we may be experiencing.

Here at Emerge Counseling, I believe that there is no age limit to grief, meaning I work with all ages and all backgrounds to help journey through grief’s complicated and often unpredictable path.

Children are oftentimes looked over in the world of loss, but it is important to remember that children are much more attune to the world around them than many of us give them credit for. For that reason, it is paramount to discuss a loss of a loved one with our children to help them process what it all means and how they are feeling. Reach out today if you have a child in need of grief counseling.

“If love alone could have kept you here, you would’ve lived forever.”

Pet Loss.

Grief is not only felt in human loss. It can also be felt deeply in the loss of a beloved pet.

As an animal lover myself, I understand the pain and heartbreak that occurs when we lose a member of our family, no matter how many legs they may have.

You deserve a space to grieve and heal from the impact of this loss.

Grief and loss can also be more ambiguous.

It may appear in a life transition, such as a break-up, a loss of ability, transition from home to college, job loss, grief over the life you used to live vs. the life you have now, etc.

Whatever it may be, I am here to support you through these often times confusing and overwhelming emotions.
