Billing

    • The price of each session is $150 per 50 minute session.

These prices are based on market value of mental health therapy in Milwaukee, WI, experience of therapist, and ensuring therapist is up-to-date on best practices via continued education for state licensure.

  • Each client is required to have a credit/debit card securely stored on file. After each session, that card will be charged. You can have multiple cards on file and can add or remove a card at any time.

    • HSA and FSA cards are also accepted and can be stored on file.

  • At Emerge Counseling, insurance is not accepted.

The choice to be an out-of-network provider was made to ensure the highest level of care for Emerge Counseling clients. We understand that therapy is an investment in yourself, and here, through the care provided, we make sure it is treated that way.

Being an out-of-network provider allows Anika to maintain a manageable caseload, ensuring a clear and fully present mind in session. It also ensures flexible and ample available session times for busy clients.

Though we do not work with insurance companies directly, we can provide a superbill (ie. a medical receipt) for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

We would encourage calling your insurance company to ask if you have "out-of-network mental health benefits", and if so, at what percentage they reimburse. From there you can identify what you would be expected to cover per session after reimbursement.

*** I am also a provider for Modern Health, which is an EAP (employee assistance program). Check to see if your employer partners with Modern Health to receive the same great care at no cost to you.

  • Emerge Counseling allows for 3 reduced fee cases based on first come first serve and need. If you feel you may be a good fit for this option, please inquire via the contact form below.

Only available for 50 minute sessions.

  • Anika has chosen to partner with Waypoint Counseling and Wellness, a group therapy practice out of Madison, WI to provide mental health care in-network with both Quartz and Dean Health Plan insurance.

If you have either of these insurances, reach out via the consultation form and please state which of the two insurances you have.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, in accordance with the No Surprises Act, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
